WIBW-TV was proud to be the exclusive media sponsor for this year’s “Fiesta Topeka.” WIBW produced and aired public service announcements for Fiesta and its connected events. Those events included the royalty contest and accompanying food sales, a 5K run, cornhole tournament, parade, “Mini Jamaica” kickoff event, an opening Mass and the Fiesta festival itself.

This was an important year for Fiesta. The festival celebrating the community’s Mexican culture started 90 years ago, and the sponsorship was an opportunity to highlight a rich aspect of the city’s culture and diversity.
