WAVY was inspired by one of its own reporters to address the domestic violence epidemic. The reporter had suffered the heartbreaking loss of a close friend, and the station dedicated its resources to promoting stories, having conversations and holding a walk for charity to raise awareness about the rise of domestic violence.
